Michael 37 was kommerkiarios of Christoupolis; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth or ninth century: Schlumberger, Sig., p. 114, no. 1. Obv.: patriarchal cross, with the legend Κύριε βοήθει τῷ σῷ δούλῳ. Rev.: +Μηχα - ηλ κουμε - ρκ(ιαρίῳ) Χριστο - πολεος. This seal was assigned to the iconoclast period by Schlumberger, loc. cit.
