Meletios 2 was metropolitan bishop of Amaseia; owner of a seal dateable to the late seventh or early eighth century: Zacos and Veglery 425. The name and title read: Μελετίου μητροπολίτου Ἀμασείας. On the date, see Zacos and Veglery, p. 1955. A seal which Zacos and Veglery describe as similar is published in Laurent, Corpus V, no. 417, but it is dated by Laurent to the tenth century.
