Markianos 7 was bishop of Mevania; he attended all five sessions of the Lateran Council, from 5 October to 31 October 649, and in the list of bishops present is named in nineteenth place: Conc. Lat., p. 2, line 27 (Μαρκιανοῦ ἐπισκόπου Μεβίας), p. 3, line 27 ("Marciano Mebiense episcopo") (the first session), cf. pp. 31, 111, 177 and 247 (the Latin version only is repeated for the other sessions). He subscribed the definition of the faith agreed by the Council at its fifth session: Conc. Lat., p. 392, line 25 (Μαρκιανὸς ἐπίσκοπος Μεβίας), p. 393, line 25 ("Marcianus episcopus sanctae Mebiensis ecclesiae").
