Markianos 2 was a skribon and basilikos spatharios; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth century: Tsougarakis, SBS 2, p. 148, no. 32 = Xanthoudides, JIAN 6 (1903), p. 124, no. 15 (dated eleventh century). Obv.: Θεοτόκε μοῦ βοήθει σῷ Μαρκιανῷ. Rev.: σκρίβωνι καὶ βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ. The seal was found at Rhethymnon in Crete.
