Marinos 27 was the owner of a seal dateable to the eighth century; the reading of the text and its interpretation are uncertain (cf. below): Zacos and Veglery 926, and see Laurent, Corpus V 3, no. 1827. The text in Zacos and Veglery reads: Μαρίνῳ τοῦ Ὑνέου, which the editors suggest understanding as: Marinos bishop of Hyneon or Oinaion. Laurent suggested: Marinos son of Oineos, or Marinos bishop of Oineon or Synaion.
