Marianos 11 was a patrikios and strategos of the Anatolikoi; probably owner of several seals dateable to the eighth century: Zacos and Veglery 2153 (the name and titles read: Μαριανῷ πατρικίῳ καὶ στρατηγῷ τῶν Ἀνατολικῶν), cf. 923a and b (Μαριανῷ πατρικίῳ καὶ στρατηγῷ), 2152A (Μαριανῷ πατρικίῳ καὶ στρατηγῷ) and Konstantopoulos, JIAN 9, 452b (Μαριανῷ πατρικίῳ καὶ στρατηγῷ). Zacos and Veglery assign all the seals to one owner. The date of Zacos and Veglery 2153, according to Sokolova (see Winkelmann, Rangstruktur, pp. 76-77), could be the first quarter of the eighth century.
