Marianos 8 was a basilikos protospatharios and doux of Calabria; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth or ninth century: DOSeals I 4.4 = Zacos and Veglery 2626. A note in DOSeals warns that the reading of the name as "Marianos" is not certain.
