Maria 13 was a spatharia; addressee of a letter from Theodore the Stoudite (Theodoros 15) blaming her for the forcible removal from church of a person seeking protection there and imposing a penance on her; he styles her ἡ τιμιότης σου (p. 810, line 2) and σου ἣν εὐσέβεια (p. 810, line 8) and addresses her as κυρία (p. 811, line 17): Theod. Stud., Ep. 537, pp. 810-811 (addressed Μαρίᾳ σπαθαρέᾳ). The date of the letter is uncertain; cf. Fatouros, p. 477*. Possibly identical with Maria 14.
