Maiourianos 1 was bishop of Praeneste (in Latium); he attended all five sessions of the Lateran Council, from 5 October to 31 October 649, and in the list of bishops present is named in fifteenth place: Conc. Lat., p. 2, line 23 (Μαιουριανοῦ ἐπισκόπου Πρενέστης), p. 3, line 23 ("Maioriano Praenestino episcopo") (the first session), cf. pp. 31, 111, 177 and 247 (the Latin version only is repeated for the other sessions). He subscribed the definition of the faith agreed by the Council at its fifth session: Conc. Lat., p. 392, line 17 (Μαιουριανὸς ἐπίσκοπος Πραινέστης), p. 393, line 17 ("Maiorianus episcopus sanctae Praenestine ecclesiae").
