Presumably an Arab general; Maioumas 1 and his army seem to have been massacred by Marianos 1, provoking retaliation by the Arabs in 708 (see Maslama 1 and Marianos 1): Theoph. AM 6201 (διὰ τὴν μανίαν τοῦ ἀποκτανθέντος στρατοῦ σὺν τῷ Μαϊουμᾶ ὑπὸ Μαριανοῦ). The date was presumably 706/708. See also Mango and Scott, Theophanes, p. 526, n. 3.
