Loukas 1 was a priest and monk in Africa; he wrote about the "Maximianist" heresy and was the addressee of a letter from the monothelete archbishop of Antioch, Makarios 1, which was read out to the eleventh session of the Third Council of Constantinople (the Sixth Ecumenical Council): Riedinger II 2. 504 (= Mansi XI 513) (Λουκᾷ πρεσβυτέρῳ καὶ μοναχῷ τῷ Ἀφρικῆς, γράψαντι περὶ τῆς καινῆς τῶν Μαξιμιανῶν αἱρέσεως). Apparently a monothelete.
