Longinos 5 was metropolitan bishop of an unnamed see; owner of a seal dateable to the seventh or eighth century: Laurent, Corpus V 1, no. 939 = Konstantopoulos, JIAN 6, 258 = Schlumberger, Mélanges, pp. 257-258, no. 109. Obv.: images of two saints facing one another, probably St Peter and St Paul. Rev.: Λονγι - νου μητρ - οπολι - του. The seal was found at Smyrna. Laurent's suggestion that this man was identical with Longinos 4 (of Ikonion) is contradicted by his different dating of the two seals, but supported by the revised dating by Zacos and Veglery of the seal belonging to Longinos 4.
