Described as "one of the nobles", Leo 282 refused to accept the decision of Constantine IV (Konstantinos 2) to remove his brothers from the co-regency after the birth of Konstantinos 2's son, Justinian (Ioustinianos 1); for this he was ordered to be mutilated, but he persisted in his defiance, insisting that he accepted the Trinity on earth just as he accepted the Trinity in heaven, and he was executed: Mich. Syr. II 455, Bar Hebr., p. 101 (Le'on). The brothers of Konstantinos 2, Heraklios 1 and Tiberios 1, were deposed in 681/682.
