Leo 239 was bishop of Tralles; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: DOSeals III 38.2 = Zacos and Veglery 2096 = Laurent, Corpus V 3, no. 1693. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Κύριε βοήθει with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: Λεον - τι επις - κοπ' Τρα - .ις. The name and title read: Λέοντι ἐπισκόπῳ Τράλις.
