Leo 221 was basilikos kandidatos and komes of the korte of Kibyrrhaiotai; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: DOSeals II 59.16 = Zacos and Veglery 3133. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: Λεοντ - β' κανδ και - κομ' τκορ - τ' Κιβυρ. The name and titles read: Λέοντι βασιλικῷ κανδιδάτῳ καὶ κόμιτι κόρτης Κιβυρραιώτων.
