Leo 208 was patrikios and strategos of the Thrakesioi; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth century (DOSeals), possibly to the second half: DOSeals III 2.43 = Zacos and Veglery 2132. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: [+]Λεον - τι πατρι - ιω και στρα - τηγω των - Θρακησι - ων+. The name and titles read: Λέοντι πατρικίῳ καὶ στρατηγῷ τῶν Θρᾳκησίων. Possibly identical with the Leo who owned a similar seal, Schlumberger, "Sceaux" IV, p. 33, no. 298 (dateable to the eighth or ninth century), cf. Laurent, "Bulletin" I, p. 637, no. 7. Cf. also Leo 5, and see Rochow, Konstantin V, p. 224.
