Leo 166 was basilikos archidiakonos and gerokomos; owner of a seal dateable to the second half of the ninth century: Zacos, Seals II 833. Obv.: bust of Virgin, with medallion of Child; circular inscription: +ὑπεράγια Θεοτόκε βοήθ(ει). Rev.: + Λεον - τι β' αρχι - διακ' (και) γ - ηροκομ. The name and titles read: Λέοντι βασιλικῷ ἀρχιδιακόνῳ καὶ γηροκόμῳ.
