Leo 157 was phylax; owner of a seal of uncertain date, possibly ninth or tenth century: Konstantopoulos, JIAN 9, 587a. The name and title read: Λέοντα τῷ φίλακι (sic). "Phylax" as a title seems otherwise unrecorded; could the word be a family name (perhaps "Philax")?
