Leo 103 was the owner of a seal dateable perhaps to the ninth century (see below): Schlumberger, Sig., p. 648 (facsimile). Obv.: bust of St Nikolaos with the legend Ὁ ἅ(γιος) Νικόλ(αος). Rev.: + σφρα - γ(ις) σφραγι - ζον Λεον - τ(ος) του Κουλ - κα. Schlumberger attributed this seal to the ninth century and proposed to identify the owner with Leo 14 (a eunuch in 802), but seals of this type seem always to be later than the ninth century. The seal was at Athens in the Museum of the Archaeological Society.
