Leo 96 was basilikos protospatharios and strategos of the Armeniakoi; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth or ninth century: Schlumberger, Sig., p. 296, no. 2. Obv.: invocative monogram of Κύριε βοήθει with the legend τῷ σῷ δούλῳ. Rev.: Λέον(τη) β(ασιλικῷ) (πρωτο)σπαθ(αρίῳ) (καὶ) στρατ(ηγῷ) τ(ῶν) Ἀρμενιακῶν.
