Leo 75 was a basilikos spatharios and strategos of the Strymon; owner of a seal dateable to the early or mid ninth century, see below: DOSeals I 37.3 = Zacos and Veglery 2659. Obv.: Κύριε or Θεοτόκε βοήθει [τῷ σῷ] δούλῳ. Rev.: [Λέον]τι β(ασιλικῷ) σπ[α(θαρίῳ)] (καὶ) στρα(τηγῷ) τ(οῦ) Στρομ(όνος). Nesbitt and Oikonomides date this before the middle of the ninth century because of the form of the betas (like a capital Roman "R") and the presence of a wreath border; see DO Seals I, p. 105, note.
