Leo 26 was also called Symbatios (his family name) (Λέοντι τῷ Συμβατίῳ); he was an antigrapheus under the kuaistor Eustathios 6 during the reign of the emperor Theophilos 5; he and another antigrapheus Demetrios 2 were sent with Eustathios 6 by the emperor Theophilos 5 to investigate a complaint of illegal building made against Petronas 5 by a widow (Anonyma 5); they reported that the complaint was justified and were sent back to demolish the offending buildings and give the site to the widow Anonyma 5: Georg. Mon. Cont. 794 (ὅ τε κυαίστωρ καὶ οἱ ἀντιγραφεῖς), cf. Leo Gramm. 216 (unnamed), Ps.-Symeon 627-628 (unnamed).
