Kyrikos 1 was bishop of Hadrianeia in Hellespontus; in 681 he attended the Third Council of Constantinople (the Sixth Ecumenical Council) and was present at two of the last three sessions (sessions sixteen and eighteen, on 9 August and 16 September): Riedinger, pp. 688-826 (= Mansi XI 616-676). In the subscriptions to the statement of the faith, which condemned monotheletism, and to the Council, he is styled Κυρικὸς ἐλέει Θεοῦ ἐπίσκοπος πόλεως Ἁδριανίας (so Riedinger, p. 790, line 6 (= Mansi XI 648); Riedinger, p. 826, line 23 (= Mansi XI 676) has ἐπίσκοπος Ἁδριανίας Ἑλλησπόντου): Riedinger, p. 790, line 6, p. 826, line 23 (= Mansi XI 648, 676). The old Latin version printed in Riedinger calls his see "ciuitatis Hadrianae": Riedinger, p. 791, line 6 (= Mansi XI 647, 675). In the lists of those attending each session he is styled Κυρίκου ἐπισκόπου Ἁδριανείας: Riedinger, p. 688, line 31, p. 760, line 8 (= Mansi XI 616, 628).
