Kyriakos 3 was bishop of Drisipara (Drusipara, Druzipara, in Thrace); he attended the Second Council of Nikaia (the Seventh Ecumenical Council) in 787 and is attested at the second and fourth sessions, on 26 September and 1 October 787: Mansi XII 1098 (Κυριακὸς ὁ ὁσιώτατος ἐπίσκοπος Δρισιπάρων; the Latin version, at XII 1097, styles him "Cyprianus sanctissimus episcopus Drisiparensium"); XIII 141 (Κυριακὸς ἐπίσκοπος Ζυπάρων, the Latin version, at XIII 142, reads "Cyriacus episcopus Zyparensium"). At the second session he spoke in support of the traditional veneration of icons as described by pope Hadrian I (Hadrianos 1): Mansi XII 1098. At the fourth session he subscribed the statements read out from the Fathers in support of the veneration of icons: Mansi XIII 141.
