Kriskentios 1 was bishop of Libya (probably Forum Livii, in Flaminia); he attended all five sessions of the Lateran Council, from 5 October to 31 October 649, and in the list of bishops present is named in ninety-sixth place: Conc. Lat., p. 6, line 25 (Κρισκεντίου ἐπισκόπου Λιβύης), p. 7, line 25 (Crescentio Libiense episcopo) (the first session), cf. pp. 35, 115, 181 and 251 (the Latin version only is repeated for the other sessions). He subscribed the definition of the faith agreed by the Council at its fifth session: Conc. Lat., p. 400, line 15 (Κρισκέντιος ἐπίσκοπος Λιβύης), p. 401, line 15 ("Crescentius episcopus sanctae Lybiensis ecclesiae").
