Kosmas 26 was a sacellarius; he was one of the retinue which accompanied pope Constantine (Konstantinos 136) on his visit to Constantinople in 710 and 711: Lib. Pont. 90. 3. The party set out on 5 October 710 and returned to Rome on 24 October 711: Lib. Pont. 90. 3 and 7.
