Konstantinos 228 was patrikios and strategos of Sicilia; owner of several seals dateable between the mid eighth century and the mid ninth: Zacos and Veglery 1822A, Borsari, nos. 1-2. All three seals read: obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει, with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners; rev.: Κωνς - ταντιν - πατρικ (και) ς - τρατηγω - Σικελιας or similar. Probably identical with Konstantinos patrikios, basilikos protospatharios and strategos of Sicilia, owner of three seals dateable to the same period: Borsari, nos. 3-5. The three seals are similar and read: obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners; rev.: +Κωνς - ταντινω πα - τρικ' β' α'σπα' - (και) στρατηγω - Σικελλ'.
