Konstantinos 179 was basilikos spatharios and kommerkiarios of Thessalonike; owner of a seal dateable to the second half of the ninth century: Zacos II 124. Obv.: patriarchal cross on base and three steps, with crosses in the angles; traces of a circular inscription (presumably invocative). Rev.: Κωνσταν - τηνω β' σπα - θαρ' (και) κομερ - κ' Τηεσαλ'. The name and titles read: Κωνσταντίνῳ βασιλικῷ σπαθαρίῳ καὶ κομερκιαρίῳ Θεσσαλονίκης.
