Konstantinos 85 was basilikos strator and protonotarios of Macedonia, then basilikos spatharios and protonotarios of Macedonia; owner of seals dateable to the ninth or tenth century: DOSeals I 43.20 and 21. He "changed his seal when he was promoted to the immediately higher dignity of spatharios" (Nesbitt and Oikonomides, note ad loc.). The first seal reads: obv.: Κ(ύρι)ε βοήθη τῷ σῷ δούλῳ. Rev.: Κωνσταντ(ίνῳ) β(ασιλικῷ) στράτ(ορι) (καὶ) (πρωτο)νοτ(αρίῳ) τ(ῆς) Μακεδ(ονίας). The second reads: obv.: Κ(ύρι)ε βοήθη τῷ σῷ δούλῳ.
