Konstantinos 59 was bishop of Dalisandos in Isauria; in 787 he attended the Second Council of Nikaia (the Seventh Ecumenical Council) and is recorded at the first, fourth and seventh sessions, on 24 September, 1 October and 13 October 787: Mansi XII 999, XIII 149, XIII 373. In the lists of those present at the first and seventh sessions he is styled Κωνσταντίνου ἐπισκόπου Δαλισανδοῦ: Mansi XII 999, XIII 373. Elsewhere he is styled Κωνσταντῖνος ἐπίσκοπος Δαλισανδοῦ or similar: Mansi XIII 149. At the fourth session he subscribed the statements read out from the Fathers in support of the veneration of icons: Mansi XIII 149. His name does not appear in the list of those who supported the traditional veneration of icons as described in statements from pope Hadrian I (Hadrianos 1) nor in the list of those who subscribed the statement of the faith adopted by the Council at the seventh session, but he was present at the seventh session and the absence of his name may be accidental.
