Konstantinos 17 was bishop of Dalisandos in Isauria; he attended the Third Council of Constantinople (the Sixth Ecumenical Council) in 680 and 681 and was present at all eighteen sessions: Riedinger, pp. 18-828 (= Mansi XI 212-680). In the subscriptions to the statement of the faith, which condemned monotheletism, and to the Council, he is styled Κωνσταντῖνος ἐλάχιστος (ἐλέει Θεοῦ, at Riedinger, p. 828, line 29 = Mansi XI 680) ἐπίσκοπος πόλεως Δαλισανδοῦ: Riedinger, p. 794, line 23, p. 828, line 29 (= Mansi XI 653, 680) (the Latin version printed in Riedinger, p. 795, line 25, calls his see "ciuitatis Dalisandi"). In the lists of those attending each session he is styled Κωνσταντίνου ἐπισκόπου Δαλισανδοῦ: Riedinger, p. 18, line 18, p. 30, line 20, etc. (= Mansi XI 212, 220, etc.). At the eighth session (7 March 681) he declared his acceptance of the doctrine of Two Natures, Two Wills and Two Energies as set out in documents from pope Agatho and the Roman Council: Riedinger, p. 214, lines 1-4 (= Mansi XI 348).
