Kalopodios 1 was koubikoularios and sakellarios; owner of a seal dateable perhaps to the seventh or eighth century: Schlumberger, Sig., p. 580, no. 3 ( facsimile).Obv.: cruciform monogram of the name Καλοποδίου (Schlumberger did not offer a solution of the monogram but Kalopodios fits the elements and was a name used by palatine eunuchs; cf. PLRE III, pp. 267-8). Rev.: +κου - βικ(ουλαρίου) σα - κελλα - ριου.
