Kalonas 1 was hypatos and paraphylax of Abydos; owner of two seals dateable to the first half of the ninth century: DOSeals III 40.24, Zacos and Veglery 2075. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: Καλο - να υπατ - και παραφ - Αβυ. The name and titles read: Καλόνᾳ ὑπάτῳ καὶ παραφύλακι Ἀβύδου.
