Kallinikos 3 was bishop of Koloneia in Armenia; in 681 he attended the Third Council of Constantinople (the Sixth Ecumenical Council) and was present at the last eight sessions (sessions eleven to eighteen, from 20 March to 16 September): Riedinger II 2. 406-828 (= Mansi XI 460-680). In the subscriptions to the statement of the faith, which condemned monotheletism, and to the Council, he is styled Καλλίνικος ἐλέει Θεοῦ ἐπίσκοπος Κολωνείας Ἀρμενίας: Riedinger II 2. 792, line 5, 828, line 27 (= Mansi XI 649, 680) (in the old Latin version printed in Riedinger II 2. 793, line 5, his see is called "
Still bishop in 692, he attended the Quinisext Council in Constantinople and signed the canons: Ohme, Bischofsliste, p. 157, no. 111 (= Mansi XI 997) (Καλλίνικος χάριτι Χριστοῦ ἐπίσκοπος Κολωνεατῶν πόλεως τῆς Μεγάλης τῶν Ἀρμενίων ἐπαρχίας).
