Ischyrion 1 was a monk in the monastery of Hagios Christophoros in Bithynia, under the hegoumenos Loukianos 6; he is mentioned for his piety by Theodore the Stoudite (Theodoros 15) in one of his sermons: Theod. Stud., Catech. Magna II 70 (p. 490 Papadopoulos-Kerameus).
