Isaakios 8 was a monk and the addressee of a letter from the patriarch Photios (Photios 1) urging him to repent of his sins; he was already a very old man; the letter is not dateable: Photius, Ep. 128 (I 167ff. Laourdas-Westerink; addressed Ἰσαακίῳ μοναχῷ).
