Ioustinos 2 was bishop of Tyana in Cappadocia Secunda; in 681 he attended the Third Council of Constantinople (the Sixth Ecumenical Council) and was present at the last nine sessions (the tenth to the eighteenth, 18 March to 16 September): Riedinger II 2. 280-823 (= Mansi XI 389-672). In the subscriptions to the statement of the faith, which condemned monotheletism, and to the Council, he is styled Ἰουστῖνος ἀνάξιος ἐπίσκοπος τῆς Τυανέων μητροπόλεως τῆς δευτέρας τῶν Καππαδοκῶν ἐπαρχίας: Riedinger II 2. 782, line 7, 823, line 27, cf. 892, line 21, 732, line 11 (= Mansi XI 641, 672, cf. 689, 693). In the lists of those attending each session he is styled Ἰουστίνου ἐπισκόπου Τυάνων: Riedinger II 2. 280, line 23, 402, line 32, etc. (= Mansi XI 389, 457, etc.). He was among the signatories to the copy of the definition of the faith sent to the bishop of Rome, Agatho 1, signing on behalf of himself and the bishops under him: Riedinger II 2. 892, line 21 (= Mansi XI 689-692).
