Ioulitta 1 was a native of the same town in Galatia as St Evarestos (Evarestos 1); she was his niece, being the daughter of his sister; one of her hands was afflicted and useless; realising that the trouble was demonic in origin, she appealed for help to Evarestos 1, writing to him since she was not able to make the journey to see him in person; he replied by sending one of the iron armlets that he was in the habit of wearing, which cured her: Vita S. Evaristi 25 (p. 314). Her mother was perhaps Anonyma 23. Cf. also Eirene 7, Photeinos 10 and Sisinno 1.
