Ioannes 604 was proedros, logothetes of the dromos and strategos of (name lost); owner of a seal of uncertain date (perhaps seventh, eighth or ninth century): Konstantopoulos, JIAN 9, 407a. The name and titles are read by Konstantopoulos as: Ἰωάννῃ προέδρῳ λογοθέτῃ τοῦ δρόμου καὶ στρατηγῷ τῶν .... This combination of titles is so peculiar that it casts doubt on the interpretation of the text of the seal.
