Ioannes 510 was hypatos (or spatharios) and protonotarios of the Anatolikoi; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: DOSeals III 86.39. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει with .. - σω - .ου - λω in the corners. Rev.: ..αν - .π' και α - οταρ'. - ..ατ. The name and titles perhaps read: Ἰωάννῃ ὑπάτῳ καὶ πρωτονοταρίῳ τῶν Ἀνατολικῶν. On the reading, see Nesbitt and Oikonomides, DO Seals III, p. 157, note.
