Ioannes 416 was basilikos protospatharios and strategos of the Thrakesioi; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century: Zacos and Veglery 2050a. The name and titles read: Ἰωάννῃ βασιλικῷ πρωτοσπαθαρίῳ καὶ στρατηγῷ τῶν Θρᾳκησίων. According to Zacos and Veglery, the last word could be Θρᾳκι( ων). See also Ioannes 173 (owner of a similar seal).
