Ioannes 403 was a hypatos and dioiketes of Cyprus; owner of two seals dateable to the late eighth or early ninth century: DOSeals II 38.4 = Zacos and Veglery 2019 (rev.: +Ιωαν - νου υπατου - και δυκιτης - Κυπρου, reading: Ἰωάννου ὑπάτου καὶ διοικητὴς Κύπρου), DOSeals II 38.5 = Zacos and Veglery 2020 (rev.: Ιωαν - η υπατω - διοικητ' - .υπρου, reading: Ἰωάννῃ ὑπάτῳ καὶ διοικητῇ Κύπρου). The obverse of both seals has a cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει with the legend τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Cf. also Ioannes 204 (owner of a seal very similar to Zacos and Veglery 2020).
