Ioannes 395 was a patrikios and strategos of the Anatolikoi; owner of a seal dateable to the eighth century: DOSeals III 86.53 = Zacos and Veglery 2046. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει with τω - δου - λω - ς. in the corners. Rev.: Ι. - ανη πα. - ρικιω και . - .ρατιγω. - .ν ανα - τολ. The name and titles read: Ἰωάννῃ πατρικίῳ καὶ στρατηγῷ τῶν Ἀνατολικῶν.
