Ioannes 378 was the father of the hypatos Porphyros 1; he is named on his son's seal, which is dateable to the eighth century: Zacos and Veglery 2336. The names and title read: Πορφύρῳ ὑπάτῳ, υἱῷ Ἰωάννου.
