Ioannes 327 was basilikos spatharokandidatos and strategos of Cherson; owner of a seal dateable between the mid ninth century and the early tenth: Zacos II 191. Obv.: cross on base and steps, with ivy branches; circular inscription reading: Κ(ύρι)ε βο......δούλω. Rev.: +Ιωαν[ν] - η β' σπαθ' - κανδιδ' (και) - στρατηγ' - Χερσο. The name and titles read: Ἰωάννῃ βασιλικῷ σπαθαροκανδιδάτῳ καὶ στρατηγῷ Χερσόνος. Cf. also Ioannes 150.
