Ioannes 326 was klerikos and exarchos of Paphlagonia; owner of a seal dateable between the mid ninth century and the early tenth: Zacos II 171. Obv.: patriarchal cross on base and four steps; circular inscription reading: Κ(ύρι)ε βοήθη τῷ σῷ δούλ(ῳ). Rev.: +Ιωαν - νη κληρη - κω (και) εξαρ - χω Παφλα - γονια. The name and titles read: Ἰωάννῃ κληρικῷ καὶ ἐξάρχῳ Παφλαγονίας. He was perhaps a priest of the metropolitan church of Paphlagonia (Gangra) assigned by his bishop to supervise monasteries.
