Ioannes 325 was basilikos kandidatos and protonotarios of Thessalonike; owner of a seal dateable between the mid ninth century and the early tenth: Zacos II 170. Obv.: patriarchal cross on base and two steps; circular inscription: +Κ(υρι)ε βοηθη τ... . Rev.: [Ι]ωαννι - [β'] κανδιδα' - [.] α' νοταρηω - [Θ]εσσαλονη - κης+. The name and titles read: Ἰωάννῃ βασιλικῷ κανδιδάτῳ καὶ πρωτονοταρίῳ Θεσσαλονίκης. Cf. also Ioannes 147.
