Ioannes 324 was basilikos protospatharios; owner of a seal dateable to the second half of the ninth century: Zacos II 1073. Obv.: cruciform monogram of Κύριε βοήθει with τω - σω - δου - λω in the corners. Rev.: +Ιωαν - νη β' α' ς - παθ[α]ρ'. The name and titles read: Ἰωάννῃ βασιλικῷ πρωτοσπαθαρίῳ. The betas on this seal have the form of a capital Latin R, signifying a date not before the early ninth century.
