Ioannes 300 was an eparchos; owner of a seal of uncertain date, probably seventh or eighth century (if not earlier): Konstantopoulos, JIAN 8, 1187. The text reads: ἐπὶ Ἰωάννου ἐπάρχου. For a similar seal, see also Schlumberger, Mélanges,p. 321, 5. This is perhaps a weight rather than a seal; see PLRE III, Ioannes 143.
