Ioannes 207 was a monk; owner of a seal dateable to the ninth century; his family name was apparently Theodorokanos: Schlumberger, Sig., p. 401, no. 2 (facsimile) = p. 707, no. 2. Obv.: invocative monogram of Θεοτόκε βοήθει with the legend τω - σω - δου - λω. Rev.: + Ιω(αννῃ) - μοναχ(ῳ) - τῳ Θεο - δωρ(ο)κα - νῳ. Seals with family names seem usually to be of later date; this name also occurs on a seal of the eleventh century: Schlumberger, Sig., p. 707, no. 1 (Κονσταντῖνος ὁ Θεοδορόκανος; died in 1077).
